Call Emergency

When should I call for emergency medical assistance?

Call immediately if you encounter any of the following:
Chest pain or suspected heart attack
Difficulty breathing or sudden shortness of breath
Unconsciousness or altered mental status
Severe bleeding that cannot be controlled
Suspected stroke, sudden numbness, weakness, or slurred speech
Seizures or convulsions
Severe allergic reactions with difficulty breathing

What should I do if someone has a sudden cardiac arrest?

Call for emergency medical assistance immediately and begin hands-only CPR — push hard and fast in the centre of the chest at a rate of about 100–120 compressions per minute. Continue until the emergency team arrives. If an AED is available nearby, use it as soon as possible.

Is emergency care given on a first-come, first-served basis?

No. Emergency care is prioritised by clinical severity through a triage process. Patients with life-threatening conditions are seen immediately, regardless of arrival order. Less urgent cases may wait while critical patients are stabilised.

What information should I give when calling for help?

Be prepared to provide your name and location, the nature of the emergency, how many patients are involved and their condition, and any known medical conditions or allergies. Stay calm. Our team will guide you.

Can I come to the emergency room for non-urgent conditions?

Our emergency department is prioritised for acute, life-threatening conditions. For non-urgent issues, we recommend booking an outpatient consultation — this avoids unnecessary waiting and ensures critical resources remain available for emergencies.
